Updated Income Limits & New Income Banding
Effective July 22, 2019, Rural Development’s income limits were updated. Something NEW this year, income banding is now in effect for the Home Purchase and Repair Programs. For most counties, the home loan income limit for a family of 1-4 occupants is now $54,700 and a family of 5-8 occupants can earn up to $72,200. Under the home repair program, income limits for a household of 1-4 occupants is $34,200 and a household of 5-8 occupants can earn up to $45,150. Click below for income limits for all counties.
In addition to income banding, all counties, except for Dodge, Portage and Racine, saw an overall increase in the income limits over last year.
Under the previous income limits, a household of one in Eau Claire County was limited to no more than $40,300. With income banding, that amount is now $58,650, which is an increase of $18,350!
We see income banding allowing more rural households across Wisconsin to access Rural Development’s Home Purchase and Repair programs.
